Jason Dos Santos was called to the Ontario bar in 2003 after obtaining an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A. Hons.) at York University and his law degree at the University of Windsor (LL.B.). He began his legal career at Pinkfosky Lockyer surrounded by the finest criminal defence lawyers in the country and honing his legal skills. After articles he remained with the firm as an Associate and then a Partner at its successor Pinkofskys LLP which was then the largest criminal law firm in Canada. In 2010 he opened his own practice to be able to provide his clients with more personalised attention to their matters.
A veteran of over one thousand criminal trials in the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice, Jason’s experience in the Courts have allowed him to hone his skills as an aggressive and tenacious litigator. Jason has successfully defended matters ranging from First Degree Murder to Firearm, Drug and Criminal Organisation Charges to Sexual Assault, Impaired Driving and Domestic Assault Charges. Jason’s experience in Quasi-Criminal work includes appearances and applications before regulatory bodies including as the Liquor Control Board of Ontario, Ontario Securities Commission and the Landlord and Tenant Board.
Jason is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, The Criminal Lawyers Association and the Portuguese-Canadian Lawyers Association. Jason is fluent in Portuguese.
